The G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra, with the patronage of the Ministry of Education, University and Research and the Municipality of Pesaro, is proud to announce the XIII edition of the music competition:

“Giovani in Crescendo – Digital Edition 2026”

Objective of the Competition
The objective of the competition is to encourage the exchange of musical experiences, in order to offer young participants an important opportunity for growth as performers, as musicians and, above all, as individuals.

Participants
The competition is open to:

• Pupils from primary, middle, and high schools

• Music conservatories

• Private music schools and academies

• Independent participants (aged 6–25)

• “Belcanto” category: ages 18–45

• “Musicians and/or Singers” category: ages 26–45

Categories

• Public School

• Private Music School

• Conservatories

• Independent Contestant

• Belcanto

• Musicians and/or Singers

Sections by Age

• Primary – Ages 6 to 11

• Middle – Ages 12 to 17

• High – Ages 18 to 25

• Belcanto – Ages 18 to 45

• Musicians and/or Singers – Ages 26 to 45

Each category will be divided into:

• Soloists and Small Groups (up to 10 participants)

• Large Groups (11 participants or more)

General Rules

• Participants may choose any musical genre

• Performance duration:

  • Soloists and Small Groups: max 10 minutes

  • Large Groups: max 15 minutes

• Unpublished songs must not contain offensive content of any kind

• The Jury will evaluate all video performances and determine winners based on scores, with no elimination phases

• Participants aged 26–45 will only compete within their category

• Jury decisions are final and not contestable

• The organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event

• Video and audio material may be used for promotional purposes

Participation Certificates

• All participating schools will receive a certificate of participation

• Soloists and small groups will receive a personal certificate

• Large groups will receive a group certificate with the group name

Video Submission Information
Submit video via:

• Swisstransfer (link must be pasted into the registration form)

• YouTube (link must be pasted into the registration form)

Videos from other platforms will not be accepted
The video recording date must be stated on the form
Videos must not be recorded before October 2025

• Ortolani Prize – for performances using a piece from Riz Ortolani’s repertoire

• Rossini Award – for performances using a piece from Gioachino Rossini’s repertoire

• Best Instrumental Technique Award

• Best Vocal Technique Award

• Soloist or Chamber Ensemble Award

• Best Orchestra Award

• 2nd Place Overall: €150 Scholarship

• 3rd Place Overall: €100 Scholarship

Registration
Deadline: May 5th, 2026
Participants must fill out the official registration form, attaching:

• Copy of the payment

• PDF with full names and birth dates of all participants

• Link to the video (Swisstransfer or YouTube only)

Only registrations with complete information submitted through the official form will be accepted.
Late submissions may be accepted only if technical issues are verifiable.
